River Elliot Designer Wedding Dresses
Collection Package

River Elliot Grace Dress Side Front Close
Designer Wedding Dresses

The current River Elliot Collection includes a small range of designer wedding dresses, inspired by my love for glamorous vintage styles. With attributes that pay tribute to the feminine grace of the 1930s and the iconic hourglass shape of the 1950s, my collection has been designed with a modern vintage style. The designer wedding dresses in my collection appeal to brides and spouses-to-be looking for that little something different in their wedding dress. From tea-length to red-carpet glamour, there is vintage inspiration that will appeal to a wide range of clients. Whether you’re into vintage wedding dresses or modern styles, the current River Elliot Collection strives to recreate a time when bridal wear was exceptionally well-made and quality was desired over quantity. My thoughtful designs not only flatter and respect your form but also are combined with trained couture construction. The end result is impeccable dresses and bridal wear that looks and feels amazing to wear.

How to order

Ideally, I would love for you to visit my studio to try on sample designer wedding dresses and to be measured. However, life is busy and if that’s not convenient you can send your custom measurements to me using the measurement guide below. It’s crucial that you measure yourself properly so that I can prepare as close a fit as possible. You will then be invited to my studio for your first fitting, which is usually a toile made in calico. I will discuss all alterations with you and you can voice any concerns you have about the fit and style. Your final dress will be stitched and prepared when we are both happy with the fit and final look of the dress. Once the dress is ready, it can be delivered to you packaged in a luxury box and tissue paper or you can arrange collection.

Due to the custom nature of my services I cannot accept cancellations or returns. You must pay an initial deposit of 50% up front in order for me to start work on making your wedding dress.

Visit our Etsy store to purchase our made-to-measure collection online or email us at hello@riverelliot.com for more
details or to book an appointment to try one of our dresses on.

How to measure yourself

It’s essential to measure yourself properly for a made-to-order dress. It would be great if you could visit our studio in Cambridge to try on sample versions of the designer wedding dresses in our collection and to get measured, but if this is not possible then please follow our guide to measure yourself accurately. Ensure you wear the bra and undergarments that you plan to wear on the day, or as close to as possible. Changes in underwear from padding to shape-wear can change the final fit of your dress.

Full Bust: Use a tape measure to measure around the fullest part of your bust. Place the tape measure across your back and around and over your bust/nipple. Do not use your bra size.

Under Bust: Measure just under your bust line and around your back.

Bra Size: Please state ready-to-wear bra and cup size.

Height of Bust: Please measure from your shoulder line (between neck and shoulder bone) down to your nipple.

Shoulder width: Measure from shoulder bone to shoulder bone across your back.

Bodice length: Measure from shoulder bone down over your bust to your natural waist line. This tells us where you would like the waist line of the dress to sit.

Waist: Please measure around the narrowest part of your body. Make sure you measure a snug fit but not overly tight. If you have an issues in this area that you’d like to discuss, please contact us as we are happy to help you.

Hips: Please measure around the fullest part of your hips. Place the tape measure around your bottom at the fullest point and then around your hips. Again, do not pull too tightly.

Hem: Please measure carefully from your waistline to the floor. Please state what heel height you will be wearing with your dress. This is crucial to make sure the length of your dress is correct when wearing your wedding shoes.

Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure you receive the right fit. If you are worried about taking your measurements accurately, ask a friend or arrange to come and see us where we can help measure you properly. We love meeting our clients and all shapes and sizes are welcome. We do not body shame and respect everyone who comes to our studio.
